Revolutionary War Toy Set

1957

Toys are an important part of how people learn about themselves, others, their environment, and historic events. This Revolutionary War toy set from 1957 allowed children to recreate momentous battles and pivotal moments that shaped the founding of America. This set was preserved and donated to the Museum by the person who played with it as a child in the late 1950s. The toy set included Revolutionary soldiers in blue, the British in red, rearing horses, and a “Sons of Liberty” tavern.
